Realm of Reverberations explores whether past events that seem settled actually ever end. Wind Songs focuses on portrayals of Sanatorium residents and their subtle emotions and observations while watching the film Realm of Reverberations. “I have always been concerned about new forms of association that art can provide after the collapse of a social movement. The residents of Lo-sheng Sanatorium and members of the Lo-sheng Preservation Movement launched another protest after they participated in the filming of Realm of Reverberations and Wind Songs.”

Through his films, photographs, performances and installations, Chen Chieh-jen (*1960 Taoyuan, TW) engages with Taiwan's history of martial law and the effects of globalisation on the lives of marginalised people.
