Quiet hour
The »Quiet Hour« at the Hamburger Kunsthalle invites you to experience art in a special setting on the last day of the exhibition »ILLUSION. Dream – Identity – Reality«. From 6 to 7.30 pm, we offer some quiet time in the exhibition room for all those who need a low-sensory environment during their museum experience.
Some people avoid visiting museums or other cultural institutions because the usual atmosphere – with lots of visitors, bright lights and loud noises – can be too overwhelming. It is precisely for these needs that we create an environment that exposes the sensory perceptions to fewer stimuli. During this time, disruptive elements such as bright light or loud noises are minimized as far as possible. There are no guided tours and conversations are also kept to a minimum, allowing for a relaxed visit.
The »Quiet Hour« is therefore an opportunity to experience art in a very unique, personal way – in an atmosphere that consciously focuses on mindfulness.
