8 Stories from the Modern World. 1915–1980

Not only in Europe, but across the globe, the first half of the 20th century saw the emergence of numerous artistic movements that responded to the upheavals of the time through innovative styles and concepts. Shaped by exchange, convergence and differentiation, artists and their approaches were intertwined across continents. The exhibition »Modernism on the Move« explores these connections. Conceived by an international team of curators and partner museums, it presents works by artists from Argentina, India, Japan, Poland, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay and the USA.
