The Big Questions

In late summer 2020, the Hamburger Kunsthalle launched a new poster campaign. »The Big Questions« posed these very questions using ten themes/motifs from works in the Hamburger Kunsthalle's collection: justice, freedom, abundance, love, longing, identity, hope, loneliness, power and home. These themes are timeless, fundamental and often even cross-cultural. They are themes that everyone has an attitude to... or is looking for.

What topics are you currently focussing on? At each event, a theme is explored in dialogue using several works from our permanent collection.
