PUBLICATION
Auf Augenhöhe: Interreligiöse Gespräche über Kunst.
Hrsg. von Marion Koch und der Hamburger Kunsthalle (Michael Imhof Verlag)
Twelve dialogues from the successful series are documented in a publication for the first time.

A number of works in the collection of the Hamburger Kunsthalle deal with stories from the Bible that can also be found in the Torah and the Koran. This art provides a springboard for interreligious dialogue. In these events, speakers from various religious communities discuss the artwork and fundamental aspects of their religion. Visitors learn about the diverse religions present in their city and have the opportunity to take part in the discussion.

A central aim of the event series is to bring the religious and cultural diversity of our society to life in the museum. Acquiring knowledge about religions can diminish feelings of alienation and promote mutual understanding.
